- Nepal’s government reacted violently, using snipers to assassinate protestors. At least 19 protestors were killed and hundreds more injured.
- Protestors have responded by setting Parliament and the houses of various politicians on fire. At least one former prime minister’s wife died.
- A number of high-ranking Nepali politicians, including the Prime Minister, have reportedly resigned and fled the country.
