Project 2031: Zohran-style Campaigns Will Sweep America Within 5 Years

Americans are fed up and looking for real change. By running on housing, healthcare, and affordability, American socialists could seize complete control of Congress and the Presidency by January 2031.

Americans are fed up. Healthcare, housing, groceries, and every other metric of livability is rapidly worsening in the United States. The American government has lost legitimacy. A pedophile sits in the White House. The Democratic Party just skipped another primary. The police surveillance state is rapidly expanding in an effort to suppress growing fury and discontent over a decline in living standards.

Work Reform predicts that the dam is going to break soon, and it will look something like this, from a political perspective:

2025: Momentum Builds

Socialist candidates win municipal and state elections across America. From Minneapolis to Seattle to New York City, progressives have organized enough to win very prominent positions. These people will become spokespeople for the socialist/progressive movement.

2026: The First Congressional Wave

Massive wave of challengers for Congressional, municipal, and state races. If progressives run for 1000s of offices, they will win a goodly number, establishing a foothold and raising up a large bench of public leaders.

2027: Continue the Momentum With Large Legislative Proposals

Coalesce around a Presidential candidate. Look to who Bernie Sanders and AOC endorse. Organize.

2028: The Takeover

The progressive candidate will run on a national platform in the style of Bernie Sanders 2020, but with much more institutional support from the progressives elected nationwide over the previous 3 years. There will be a proposed national platform that progressives Congressional candidates align with.

2029: The Purging of the Old Guard

The progressive President makes extreme use of the bully pulpit. The messaging of HEALTHCARE, HOUSING, AND EDUCATION FOR ALL and AFFORDABILITY is known to every American at this point. Every Democrat who does not conform will likely lose their seat soon.

2030: A Sweeping Majority Elected to Congress

The popular progressive president’s party romps to victory in the 2030 elections. Americans are convinced that this is the way forward.

2031: Victory, Remaking the Supreme Court

In January, Congress is completely taken over by socialists. At this point, it will be a rehash of the New Deal in the 1930s: The Supreme Court tries to strike down popular legislation. Congress and the President will preempt this move by threatening term limits or removal (both may happen).

Americans are fed up. There is a clear path to victory for American socialism.
